About Me

Zzeerzameen: I was born in Tokyo, Japan in 1950. I then lived in Bethesda, Md for a few years until my family moved to Athens, Greece for 3 years and then to Livorno, Italy for 10 years. I went to boarding school in Rome at now defunct Parioli International School and then Notre Dame International School. I then went to George Washingtn University and graduated Phi Beta Kappa with a BA in Anthropology. I moved to Siena and lived there 3 years as a fine artist. I also spent a lot of time in France. After that I worked in Tehran, Iran for five years and traveled to Afghanistan, Turkey and Egypt. Got an MA in Ancient History from University of Fundamental Studies Oxford Network, St Petersburg, Russian Federation. Was knighted into the Sovereign Orthodox Order of St. John Hospitaller of Jerusalem in 2008. I have written 17 books. 16 nonfiction and 1 fiction novel. I speak English, Italian, French, Persian and Greek.
